Powerlifting | Olympic Lifting | Strongman

Join us for the first annual Burg Fit Fest, with three different registration categories to choose from: Powerlifting, Olympic Lifting or Strongman. All proceeds will go to a local non-profit/charity. Event registration includes an event athlete t-shirt. Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each registration category for both male and female athletes. Feeling extra spicy? Register for two or all three categories at a discounted rate!

OLYMPIC LIFTING

EVENT 1: YOKE

Yoke Carry

90 second yoke carry for distance

Measured in 5 foot increments for scoring

Yoke weight: Men 300# / Women 100#

Scoring: Total distance covered in 90 seconds. In case of a tie, the tie breaker will be the time it takes to reach each 50 foot turn around point

EVENT 2: LOG PRESS

Log Press for Weight

Log press will be a last athlete standing format

Log weight will increase each round. Every athlete will lift until they cannot get the weight from the ground to overhead

Log wt Increase: Men 20# Women 10#

Scoring: Heaviest successful lift

EVENT 3: SANDBAG LADDER

Sandbag Over Yoke

Athletes will have 90 seconds

Each sandbag must go from the ground and over the yoke crossbar

Men’s wt: 150/200/250/300/350
Women’s wt: 85/100/125/150/200

Scoring: Fastest time for all 5 sandbags completely over the yoke and to the ground. Tie Breaker will be the time for PREVIOUS weight.

OLYMPIC LIFTING

EVENT 1: SNATCH

Establish Heaviest Snatch

60 second timer to perform the lift

3 total attempts- heaviest lift is recorded

Press-out will result in a NO LIFT

Scoring: Snatch weight will be added to Clean and Jerk weight for a Total/Bodyweight

EVENT 2: CLEAN & JERK

Establish Heaviest Clean & Jerk

60 second timer to perform the lift

3 total attempts- heaviest lift is recorded

No Re-rack once the Jerk is attempted

Scoring: Clean & Jerk weight will be added to Snatch weight for a Total/Bodyweight

POWERLIFTING

EVENT 1: BENCH PRESS

Max Reps Bench Press

 1 attempt max reps bench press

 Male: max reps at bodyweight

 Female: max reps at 1/2 bodyweight

Weights round to the nearest 5

EVENT 2: DEADLIFT

Establish Heaviest Deadlift

60 seconds to complete one rep

3 total attempts- heaviest lift is recorded

Scoring: male & female heaviest deadlift divided by bodyweight

Weigh-in & Check-in will begin at 7:30am, events will begin at 9:00am on the 24th. Register for one or more (discounted rates if registering for multiple events at the same time).
